About Us
We founded Fototeva in 2009 with a vision to provide an amazing experience of an organized trip, to people who “don’t like organized trips”. Which means enjoying the peace of mind, the excellent logistical organization, access to experiences that are not open to the general public on the one hand, but enjoying independence, small and intimate groups, and a schedule that prefers deepening, enjoying and understanding the place and the culture than running madly from place to place, on the other hand.
Today, we are one of the largest adventure travel and photography companies in the world. With an amazing team of over thirty staff members, instructors and guides, from the worlds of biology, anthropology, photography and zoology, who live the area and give their soul on each and every trip so that you leave with a once in a lifetime experience!
What is special about our trips?
Whether it’s meeting polar bears from a few meters away, or chatting with sumo fighters in Japan, we specialize in exclusive experiences.
We understand that the world of travel has changed. The Internet has opened up many possibilities for independent booking, therefore, we decided that we do not try to compete with the “classic” trips, but only with unique experiences, life experiences, which would be difficult (even impossible) to reach alone or on other trips: leasing entire ships, only for our travelers , at the North and South Poles. Lease of helicopters to photograph brown bears in Siberia, special licenses and permits (such as those given to BBC or National Geographic teams), exclusive entry to private reserves and much more.
We do not want and are not willing to be a “supermarket” of trips, we are not interested in a production line of trips, and we are mostly not willing to compromise on the quality of the trip in order to save a few shekels or earn a few more dollars.
Small groups
We understand that a small amount of participants, one that allows for a personal initiation relationship and maximum training, has great significance. Therefore, we make sure of this in our groups. Also, our small groups allow you more time in the field and with the animals.
Specialist suppliers, with an emphasis on green suppliers
We choose the best suppliers in each destination. Those who specialize in the territory or the animals we want to meet. We will always prefer to work with green suppliers who are aware of the importance of protecting the environment.

Our team, from the instructors to the office staff. They are all expert travelers, who have seen the world and want to infect you too with their never-ending love for travel, adventure and the amazing nature that surrounds us.
An experience that gives peace of mind
Today, anyone can be a “tour organizer”. Since no training, license or experience is required for this as a minimum requirement by law. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to choose a tour company with experience and a “back”, which is reflected in the years of activity, the number of travelers, the nature of the trips, the number of staff members, the destinations, the quality of instruction, and most importantly – the satisfaction and a high percentage of returning travelers.
What about photography?
One of our main areas of specialization is photography trips around the world. Those that allow both amateurs and professionals to reach the strongest places, while building the track according to the lighting hours, animal behavior and the favorable terrain conditions. But – a large part (50% or more) of our travelers do not engage in photography (even though they see a polar bear or northern lights, they all take out their cell phones).
How can it be that 50% of our travelers don’t take pictures?
Because they know and know that with us they spend the most time in the field, in the most authentic places and not in the tired tourist sites. They know and know that seeing Africa through the eyes of a nature photographer or Iceland through the eyes of a landscape photographer is an experience that cannot be explained in words. Therefore, whether you are a photography enthusiast or not, the travelers we work with are the ones who are looking for the experience of a lifetime, one that will remain in the memory long after the trip is over. Whether it’s a fascinating conversation with a farmer on a farm in Cuba or an encounter with jaguars in the Amazon – photographers simply see more!
